As has been mentioned in this blog previously Schrodinger’s Girl has been renamed Triple Hit and the new website www.triplehitmovie.com has now gone live.
Right now it is a basic HTML site but the blog is up and running and the new trailer is available to view. A much better Flash based site is on the way and will go live in the near future.
No further entries will be posted to this blog and all future news will be posted to the Triple Hit site. See you there,

Sorry it’s all been quiet the last few days – not had any time to blog and anyway the hotel wi-fi is next to useless.
I expected better given that we are staying in four star hotels but it is dog slow and you only get 30 minutes at a time for free. When I get back to a real internet connection I will upload more photos.
The tour is to promote the upcoming launch of the Forza Motorsport 3 Xbox game by the way.
More later,
Chris

I did eventually get the Lambo in my garage yesterday, as the picture below shows.

The hardest part was finding somewhere to put all the crap that normally sits where the car is and actually moving it all!
Then this morning when I took the car out I had to move it all back inside again..

I finally got away a little after midday for what turned out to be an uneventful trip, remembering the ear plugs, which made the trip far more bearable.
Its about 330 miles to Edinburgh from Leamington Spa and the trip took a little over five and a half hours. It would have been quicker but the rock hard suspension and thinly padded seat necessitated a break every hour or so to give my bum a rest. A grand tourer it is not. But as before it is a real camera magnet. Everywhere I stopped out came the cameras (well mobile phones anyway).
Fortunately I managed to avoid getting my picture taken by one of the government’s roadside cameras. I think.
More tomorrow with details of why I’m driving this car around ther country,

OK this has nothing whatsoever to do with film making or Triple Hit but is so unusual that I just had to blog it.
I received a telephone call out the blue a couple of weeks ago. Was I interested in spending 5 days driving a Lamborghini Murcielago around the country? They would pay me. Ordinarily I would think this was a wind up but the person on the other end of the phone was my brother Dave’s former race sponsor. He had called Dave but he couldn’t get the time off work and he had suggested me instead.
We chatted for a bit but I had to be honest and admit my experience of driving exotic supercars was limited. Well, non existent really. He said he would get back to me the next day.
A week went by and I just assumed he found someone with some experience of driving these cars but then the phone rang again – was I still available? We agreed a daily rate and today I caught a train to London to pick it up. I cannot tell you what it felt like nosing out into central London traffic, totally lost, in a car that feels like a truck at low speeds (it’s as wide as a transit) but accelerates like a bat out of hell given half a chance. And the noise. It’s Armageddon on wheels, the shrieking V12 engine being just behind the driver (note to self: pick up some ear plugs tomorrow).
This thing draws massive attention and I felt like a rock star behind the wheel. Everywhere I went people photographed it, including a couple on a scooter filtering between the lanes who stopped just to take a snap. Kids and adults smiled and waved at me from the pavement and from their cars. I got the thumbs up everywhere I went.
Once on the M1 I took it pretty gently on the grounds that if the police were looking to stop someone for speeding, given the choice they would probably stop a Lambo over a Fiesta every time. That whole attention thing again. And I want keep my licence clean if possible.
Anyway, next stop Edinburgh. I’ll get some photos tomorrow and upload them if I get time. You know, you could almost use this as the plot for a road movie…

A couple of bits of excellent news:
1. Triple Hit is playing next week at the Fargo Fantastic Film Festival, in lovely warm Fargo, Minnesota, as part of Valleycon. It’s a regional F&SF festival and it looks like it’s going to be a blast. If you’re in the area, head on over, buy some comics, play some hands of Magic, and watch a kick-ass sci-fi movie.
2. Triple Hit has been accepted as an official selection of the Falstaff International Film Festival, in the delightful town of Stratford-Upon-Avon. I’m very stoked about this as Stratford is basically our home turf, just a few miles from Warwick. So come down and see us, we’ll be there!
Keep it surreal!

Triple Hit may have been delivered to the lab for mastering but it is business as usual here. There is still much to do before we can sit back and wait for the money to roll in.
Like a Triple Hit website – on its way (thanks Damian). And new flyers and other marketing materials to be designed and sourced. And the edit of the behind the scenes footage is still not complete. I could go on. Suffice to say we are far from done with this movie yet.
But we are looking ahead to our next project, which in the absence of any income will be a zero (where zero means zero) budget homage to 50s sci fi. Think Creature From The Black Lagoon and similar. The script is in development and we hope to start pre-production in the not too distant future.
As ever, watch this space…

Those of you who are close to the action will know already that we have been involved in an ongoing debate with Sean at Multivisionnaire
about the title of the movie. The major issue, apart from “Schrodinger’s Girl” sounding like a chick flick, is the number of people who have problems pronouncing “Schrodinger”. That and the umlaut, which, as you can see, I haven’t even tried to re-produce here.
The bottom line is that sales will suffer if we don’t change the name. So sayeth Sean and he since he has been selling movies a lot longer than we have been making them we were happy to take his word for that.
But what to change it to, that is the question? Huw and I brainstormed fifty or more new titles, none of which pushed Sean’s buttons. He made some suggestions, none of which pushed our buttons. And so it went on like some weird game that was a cross between tennis and scrabble. Teabble? Scrennis?
All the while this is delaying delivery of the master and therefore delaying sales.
In the end the new title came about by accident. One of my (increasingly desperate) suggestions was “Triplicate” which was mis-heard as “Triple Hit”, which Sean thought screamed action and that was it. So it’s official. “Schrodinger’s Girl” is now “Triple Hit”. Spread the word.
As I type Huw is prepping the master for despatch to California. New domains have been purchased and we anticipate a new site appearing in the very near future. Watch this space,
Chris
